Who we are

South African Grain Farmers Association is a Non-Profit Organisation that is incorporated under South African legislation.

The organisation was founded by grain farmers from various grain-producing regions of South Africa in June 2018. South African Grain Farmers Association is a grain commodity organisation widely known as “SAGRA”. SAGRA is a voluntary membership-based organisation that represents the interests of small-scale and developing commercial grain farmers in the South African grain industry.

grain-producing regions of South Africa. SAGRA is a voluntary commodity membership-based organisation that represents the interests of black developing and commercial grain farmers in the South African grain and oilseeds industries. SAGRA is registered as a directly affected group in line with the Marketing of Agricultural Products Act, 47 of 1996 as amended.

OBJECTIVES

1. Serve as a mouth piece for the grain and oilseed producers in South Africa.

2. Organise the subsistence communal, smallholder and commercial producers.

3. Promote, drive and deliver effective and impactful development to all black grain and oilseeds producers in SA.

4.Transform small black farmers into commercial farmers.

5. Promote a new cooperative drive for new grain logistics and grain value chain revolution.
